Nanmu is something that ancient dignitaries want to own very much. They all take the reception hall made of Nanmu as their glory. It symbolizes nobility, magnificence and a kind of status symbol.
Nanmu is a unique and precious timber tree species in China. Before, it was only distributed in a small amount in Sichuan Province. However, due to the uncontrolled logging for a long time, this tree species has been nearly extinct. Now, most of them are planted semi natural forests and scenic protection forests.
Nanmu plants can be as high as 30 meters, its leaves are oblong or narrow oval, grow about 5 to 11 cm, width about 1.5 to 4 cm, the apex of the leaves gradually become sharp, the base is wedge-shaped, the surface is shiny.
