1. Enough light
If you want the dragon to blossom as soon as possible, light is essential. It is better to put it on the Nanyang terrace or South windowsill to receive sufficient light. If the light is insufficient, it is easy to cause the stem to grow in vain. But the temperature is high in summer. We should pay a little attention to the shade at noon.
2. Water frequently
If you want the dragon's beads to grow vigorously, you must ensure that they are well hydrated. But longtuzhu is more sensitive to water. Once there is too much water, it will cause only long leaves not to bloom, even leaves turn yellow and fall off, and even roots will rot at last, so when you touch the surface of the basin soil, you can pour it.
When the Dragon spits the bead to bloom, don't spray water on the petal, otherwise it will shorten the flowering period, especially in the recent rainy days, it's better to keep it indoors, don't let the flower of the Dragon spits the bead touch the water.
3. Apply enough fertilizer
Longtuzhu prefers fertilizer. It can apply thin cake fertilizer water once every 7-10 days. Before flowering, stop applying nitrogen fertilizer and add more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, such as bone meal fertilizer and potassium dihydrogen phosphate. Usually, it can be mixed with 0.2% ferrous sulfate solution to prevent the leaves from turning yellow.
4. Trim frequently
Longtuzhu is a climbing flower. If you want to make the plant more beautiful, you have to pay attention to frequent pruning. Usually, we should take off the heart and make the top, trim the flowers in time to avoid nutrient consumption. When the Dragon spits out the Pearl, the white pistil outside will turn red too. Just cut it off when the red withers.
Longtuzhu mainly adopts two methods: sowing and cutting.
After the Dragon spits out the bead to blossom, everybody as long as does not matter, in a short time, can see to bear the black small seed. Collect the seeds and plant them again next spring.
But most people still use cutting propagation.
1. When picking the top, you can keep the pruned branches as cuttings.
2. Trim the branches slightly, keep at least 2-4 leaves on each stick, then prepare a disposable paper cup, put vermiculite in the paper cup, and insert the branches of longtuzhu into about 1 /3.
3. If you are worried about slow rooting, you can also find a bottle of water to root. Rooting rate is also very high! It's hot in summer, about 10-15 days can take root
4. After the cuttings of longtuzhu take root, you can prepare loose and breathable nutrient soil and transplant it into a flowerpot! First in a cool and ventilated place slow 1 - 2 weeks, and then transfer to the sun on the normal maintenance line!
Reason 1: lack of nutrients
The dragon in the family doesn't spit out the Pearl and doesn't blossom. It may be caused by lack of nutrients.
Solution: when the Dragon spits its beads and buds, we can bury some original peanuts or melon seeds in the basin, or pour a spoon of waste oil replaced by the lampblack machine, which can make the Dragon spits more flowers.
Reason 2: no pruning is too long
If the Dragon spits the bead if only grows the leaf not to blossom, may be because does not prune, caused the entire plant to grow in vain.
Solution: if you want to make dragon spit more flowers and less crazy, you can prune it frequently, especially after the flower is withered, cut it short in time to ensure its nutrients, so that it can send more lateral branches as soon as possible, about to ensure that the plant is within 25-30cm.
Reason 3: too much water
If the Dragon pours too much water, it will only grow leaves and not bloom.
Solution: if you find that longtuzhu doesn't bloom all the time, you need to control the water. When you feel the basin soil is completely dry, you need to water it again. If you repeat this several times, you can see that longtuzhu is blooming.
