Orchid is a very delicate flower. It's not easy to maintain the orchid in soil culture, let alone hydroponics. If you have enough patience, it has been a long time since you raised orchid. It's better to try hydroponics. Follow these six steps!
The water planting and orchid cultivation uses a special water planting flowerpot with no holes at the bottom and double-layer mesh screens inside and outside. Put nutrition solution on the outer layer, square grid on the inner layer, and then choose some ceramsite or sponge to fix the plant.
Pull up the orchid plants planted in the soil, remove the rotten and old roots. If it is inconvenient to implant too many roots into the internal sieve, use scissors to cling to the bulb to cut off part of the roots, and then use water to wash away the mud and dirt on the roots.
Soak the cleaned roots in the disinfectant for disinfection, soak them in the solution for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse them with clean water.
Put the orchid in the basket of the water culture container, divide the roots into 2-3 groups, insert them into 2-3 sieve holes, pull the roots that have passed through the sieve holes slightly by hand, and make the bulb cling to the cross rib in the center between the sieve holes.
Hold the orchid with one hand, and put clean ceramsite or stone into the other hand, and fill it around the plant. Fix the orchid in the center.
After fixing the plant, wash the roots and stones with clean water, then put clean water in the outer basin, and add the nutrient solution. This completes the migration.
Note that orchid hydroponics needs more nutrition, and it is necessary to change water frequently and supplement nutrient solution.
