In different environments, the number and amount of water are different. Indoor temperature, humidity, the size of flowerpot, the permeability of flower soil and the influence of season, the duration of watering will not be fixed in one period. We need to consider the interval between watering as the environment changes.
Tap 1 /3 of the flowerpot with your fingers, the sound is clear and crisp, indicating that the water in the flowerpot is sufficient, and then water it after a period of time. The dull sound indicates that the basin needs watering when it is dry.
If you are sensitive to weight, feel the weight of the flowerpot before watering, and then feel the weight of the flowerpot after watering. In the long run, there is probably a value in your mind. Feel the weight of the flowerpot every time you water it and know whether to water it or not.
Probe is the most direct method. Put your fingers into 1 /3 of the soil (basically the length of your index finger) and feel it. Don't water if it's wet. It's time to water if you can't even get your fingers in!
