Basal fertilizer is usually called basal fertilizer, which is applied before planting or transplanting. Its main function is to supply nutrients for the whole growth period of plants, and also to improve soil and fertility.
Basic fertilizer includes organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer, organic fertilizer such as farmyard manure, stable manure, green manure and cake manure, inorganic fertilizer such as NPK and micro fertilizer.
One is to consider the type of base fertilizer application. Organic fertilizer is most suitable for basal fertilizer, while inorganic fertilizer is very important for the growth and development of crops at seedling stage and early growth stage.
Second, the quantity of base fertilizer should be considered. According to the level of soil fertility, moderately supplement the nutrients lacking in the soil; according to the different growth periods of crops, apply different basic fertilizers;
The third is to consider the variety of base fertilizer. Ammonium bicarbonate is nitrogen fertilizer, common calcium, diammonium, calcium magnesium phosphate is phosphorus fertilizer, plant ash, potassium chloride is potassium fertilizer, zinc fertilizer, manganese fertilizer is micro fertilizer.
The fourth is to consider the application depth of base fertilizer. Generally speaking, the bottom fertilizer should be applied to the whole arable layer, with a depth of 15-20cm. The base fertilizer can be applied in strips, or mixed with the arable soil, or in layers.
