1. Soft: Although most of the meat grows on the sand, it prefers soft soil. Sandy soil is not good for its rooting. All seedlings must be planted in loose soil, which can greatly improve its survival rate.
2. Drainage: succulent itself has certain water storage capacity, and the root does not absorb much water. Therefore, the soil must have good drainage, to avoid long-term water immersion root, inhibit its respiration.
3. Nutrition: Although fertilization can be used to supplement nutrients for meat, the basic fertilizer in the soil can provide nutrients continuously and effectively. It can keep healthy growth for a long time.
4. Acidity: most meaty people prefer weak acidic environment, but they are not resistant to salt and alkali. So we can plant with acid soil, or we can improve the pH of soil by pouring ferrous sulfate solution.
If it is a fleshy seedling, it should be mixed with peat soil and river sand, with the proportion of about 6:4. Perlite and ceramsite can be used to replace some of the sand, but the overall proportion cannot be changed. If it is more than two years of adult plants, the ratio of the two should be reversed, less peat soil and more sand. With the growth of plants, the proportion of sand and other large particle media can gradually increase, but there should be a little peat soil to provide nutrients.
