The flowering period of Mulan is generally from October to march of the next year, that is, winter and spring season, with medium fragrance. It is the best viewing time at 10 a.m. and about 7 p.m.
Of course, Mulan also has autumn flowering varieties, such as qiubang, Qiuxiang. There are flowers in late winter and early spring, such as the Daming orchid. When does the orchid bloom has a lot to do with the temperature. When the temperature is high, it blooms early, and when the temperature is low, it blooms late.
Mulan needs to bloom more than once a year, and there is no strict number for how much more. However, with the change of temperature, the florescence will be slightly different. In southern China, Mulan can bloom before and after the Spring Festival, while in Zhejiang, the flowering period is similar to that of Chunlan.
The potted substrate is usually rotten bark block, peat soil and rotten leaf soil. Pay attention to the cleanness of watering, and avoid spraying directly with tap water. Water once a day in midsummer and once in 4-5 days in winter.
The room temperature should not be too high, otherwise it is easy to get sick in spring. Fertilizer should be applied once a month in the growth period to prevent drought in autumn, and the basin soil should not be too wet in winter.
