The leaves of Pyrola are round or kidney shaped, about 2-5 cm long and 3.5-9 cm wide, with 5-7 lobes on the edge, serrated lobes and heart-shaped base. The leaves of Lysimachia christinae are oval to kidney, the apex is blunt to round, and the base is truncated to shallow heart.
Pyrola is an umbrella shaped inflorescence, clustered in the axils of the leaves at the stem end. The petals are ovate, white or milky white, sometimes with purplish red spots. The sepals have 5 deep cracks, the lobes are oblong lanceolate, the color is yellow, or there are also purplish red.
