We go to the park or watch the rose raised by the gods. The branches are thick and strong. Looking like the seedlings of decades, the flowers are still bigger than our faces. We are so envious
In fact, these roses are about the same age as your family. They not only bloom more than you, but also older than you. What's more, they can last for 1-2 months!
Some of them can even produce several kinds of colors of flowers, like Hydrangea
In fact, these roses are artificially grafted the day after tomorrow. The first half is roses, and the second half is rootstocks. The rootstocks are usually woody and rose branches.
The grafted rose retains the advantages of the rootstock, and is far away from the soil surface, reducing the risk of diseases and insect pests. It blooms more and longer. It looks like it's very complicated. In fact, it's as good as cutting. Let's learn together.
1. Select stock
Choose at least 40 cm long, finger thick and thin woody fragrant branch or rose branch, if it is better to take root, it can be directly grafted in the ground
2. Prepare for scion
Scion is the rose branch that needs to be grafted. Select the green and strong branch that was born in that year. At least 5cm is enough. It's better to have 1-2 bud points on it
Take off the leaves and thorns, and distinguish them up and down.
About 2cm below the scion, ready to cut the marriage joint
Cut obliquely to expose the white inner stem.
After cutting the interface, it is better to put it in clean water or carbendazim solution to avoid drying.
3. Cutting exit on Rootstock
Select a place on the cross section of the Rootstock to cut out the marriage joint. The width of the marriage joint is consistent with the thickness of the scion.
Mainly cut out the thickness of the skin, pay attention not to pull off the skin, the length of the incision should be consistent with the length of the scion incision
4. Complete the grafting
Insert the scion of the rose into the Rootstock to make the two interfaces coincide.
Repack the skin of the rootstock
Then wrap and fix it with plastic film or soft tape.
If you want to grow into a rose crown quickly, you can graft more places on the rootstock and peel a rose skin with buds first.
Cut a T shape on the rootstock, peel it off, put the rose skin with buds in, expose the buds, and finally wrap it with plastic film or soft tape.
5. Planting
The grafted rootstock can be directly inserted in the moist flower soil, put in a cool place to avoid exposure to the sun, keep moist, take root about 15 days, or cover a plastic bag at the grafting place to moisturize
When the rose branches sprout, it means the grafting is successful; if the branches are black and wrinkled, it means failure
After grafting and sprouting, you can bask in the sun. After grafting, the rose is better to take care of. It's almost unnecessary to plant in the ground. For potting, the flowerpot should be selected according to the root size of the rootstock. You don't need to use too large flowerpot
If you want the rose tree to open big and frequently, you can add some strong ingredients, such as fish intestines, chicken manure, cattle and sheep manure, etc., which is not afraid of burning or insects
